The hotel is in a lovely rural village, ideal for exploring Northumbria with easy access to the coast and the A1. While the rooms had everything we needed, the lack of adequate lighting was a minor inconvenience. The service was efficient but lacked warmth, and the location was convenient for sightseeing but a bit dimly lit in certain areas. The dining experience was exceptional, setting us up for the day with a superb breakfast selection. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money with some minor drawbacks.
The hotel's rooms weren't up to the standard we expected, but we still enjoyed our stay, especially considering the good value for money. The location is perfect for relaxing with a drink when the weather is nice, and it's ideal for visitors exploring Northumbria or friends in the area.
Our stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms, though basic as expected with a voucher, had everything we needed. We didn't get room service on the first day, but it wasn't a big deal. The view over the garden from our cosy and spacious room was lovely.
