The hotel is in a lovely rural village, ideal for exploring Northumbria with easy access to the coast and the A1. While the rooms had everything we needed, the lack of adequate lighting was a minor inconvenience. The service was efficient but lacked warmth, and the location was convenient for sightseeing but a bit dimly lit in certain areas. The dining experience was exceptional, setting us up for the day with a superb breakfast selection. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money with some minor drawbacks.
